I don't feel 100%, but I do feel Lucky

My mood was good. It was so beautiful! I got to have my windows open and everything! The only snow left is the mountains at the end of the streets from the plows :)

My food? Not so great. I slept in, and now am up late... and hungry :( I did ok for meals, but had 3 cookies instead of one... AND a 320 calorie danish this morning...
I want to be able to have just one, but maybe Jo is right. I should just cut off the sweets all together for now... because just one didn't work very well today...
I got in 20 oz of water, but tomorrow I want to get back to getting at least 40. I'll go back to using a water bottle, thanks colenic! :)

I didn't get on the treadmill. I did some laundry, so it has a bunch of clothes drying on it right now in fact. I'm not going to promise I'll get on it tomorrow, because I probably won't. I did work up a little sweat just doing dishes and some cleaning... I have really neglected the house for the last 2 months...

My depression was very deep, and now I have the aftermath to deal with. Things I've neglected, bills, laundry, you name it. A lot has happened, but now that I'm starting to feel better, I don't really want to think about it. The issues aren't really resolved, so they may come up later... but for now I'm going to try and be happy. Especially with everything going on in the world right now... I don't want to complain. I feel very blessed. Today wasn't the best, but oh my goodness it could have been much worse! Tomorrow will be better :)

On this St. Patrick's Day I am feeling very lucky. Lucky I don't live in the middle east. Lucky I don't have to deal with an earth quake, tsunami, or anything else Japan is dealing with. Lucky I do not live near a nuclear power plant... Lucky Ray works close, and I don't have to spend a fortune on these crazy gas prices. Lucky to have my fiance who loves me and my son who is my world. Lucky to be alive.

Happy St. Patrick's Day. I hope you are feeling lucky!
Or at least drinking a green beer lol :)

  1. (((hugs))) I have to agree on the sweets (sugar). I get totally depressed when I'm heavy into sugar. But I crave it. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment. Try to stick with your natural sugars; fruit, etc. That will do you a world of good.

Easy to say, I know, but I have been battling depression for 20+ years now and I find it does help. Yep, and so does exercise. But how do you get moving when you're so depressed. Just put one foot in front of the other. Try, try, try. You can do it, Tina. You are so worth it. A healthy body is better equipped at dealing with depression. I find walking outdoors in the fresh air helps too.

    Stay strong. Welcome back.

  2. After being under such stress about my living situation I was particularly happy yesterday. Now to get through the packing and moving. It will all work out.

  3. Hey Tina, glad to see you back even though I also have been MIA. I have to stay totally away from sweets, they are the worse trigger for me. I understand the depression as well and glad to hear you are overcoming it. We need to set up another challenge and get to work. The year is almost 3 months gone and I have done nothing to improve my health. Are you with me gal!!! Hugs!!!!

  4. So happy to see you back--I've been MIA as well, but have wondered how you were doing. Sorry to hear about the depression, but I can relate. When I'm depressed I can only pull myself together to get to work and get home; anything extra is just too much--just opening the mail is practically a workout!

Continue to take care of yourself--you have been missed!

  5. Thank you ALL very much. I feel like I'm not so alone in this. I'm hoping I will be back to normal soon! Right now I just am having a really hard time. Thanks for thinking of me and not giving up on me.

Glad to see you are back too Tessa and Babe :)

  6. thanks for the birthday wish!!! I hope that you are doing well...I thought of you the other day cause I bought a new water bottle :)
    Hugs to you!!

  7. That is so funny col!!! I thought of you yesterday for the same reason! I was in Walgreen's and they had all these cute water bottles, amd I thought "I wonder if these are like the ones she has..." :)

I'm still doing about the same. Just have no motivation. Not quite ready to get back to blogging, but hopefully soon!!! I just had the urge to come read a couple blogs, and I'm so glad I did and was able to catch you on your birthday! :)
Hugs, big birthday ones!!! lol :)

  8. Hey Tina!
    Just checking on you!
Good to see you on my blog!
