The Food...

One of the things I want to make sure to do is at least come and record my food everyday again. Since it's the 5th, you can see I haven't been doing so well with this! I mean... not at all!

Saturday was the 1st, and I'm not sure what I ate. It was like New Years Eve a day late, and it involved drinking, pizza, and I even had some chocolate covered peanuts...
While they were good, they were NOT worth the calories!
Once I saw the calories on the package,
I didn't eat them all. I shared :)
That in my hand is what was in the package,
6 pieces,
anyone want to guess the calories on that?

I'm having trouble with my eating... this is nothing like last year! I was SOO excited, and just had so much motivation... I didn't even wait till the first I started the week before with just cutting out pop and eating a little less. I was doing great! Now... I just don't know. I've been just... I don't know.

I have been keeping track, and while I don't really want to write it down when I'm not doing so great... I will anyway! I really want to make this habit again. I feel like once I get back into the habit of recording it here everyday, it will help me make better choices...

The good news? I have been drinking more water. And I HAVE been sticking to my new years resolutions! I've been on the treadmill EVERY day :) The other one, of loosing 66 pounds this year? I am off to a slow start with food, but I really think I can do it.
So here is the last  few days:

I did much better with the tacos today! i was really mad at myself for having 5 before, and am very happy with myself only having one :) But I shouldn't have had such a high calorie dinner, since lunch was. I really have to work on that. If one or the other is high, have a lower calorie meal for the other...
Treadmill: 13 minutes/ .51 mile, with 2 lb weights for 5 minutes

Tuesday

The tuna casserole came out very good!

this is on a small plate :) To psyche myself out?
It didn't really work though lol
I followed a recipe I got from SkippyMom's blog a while back (mostly). BUT I made the whole bag of egg noodles, when I think I was supposed to use 1/2. So I doubled up on everything, but I didn't have another cream of mushroom soup so I had to use cream of chicken with herbs, or something like that. I had sharp cheddar instead of mild, and didn't really measure the milk,  the cheese or peas. But I'm sure it was close lol. (Next time I'm going to make it how the recipe says though)
The verdict? Ray LOVED it. The kid liked it a lot, but "it has to many peas!"
He just don't love peas like his momma do! :)

Treadmill: 27 minutes/ 1.05 miles
This was the 5th day in a row on the treadmill :) It was the longest so far, but I did it a little different. I watched The Biggest Looser (even though I said I'd never watch again after last season!) and got on the treadmill during the commercial breaks :) I know, it wasn't the work out it would have been at one time, but I'm still happy with it. And since the treadmill is turned around now to save room... I can't watch tv on it :( I might have to change that... but I really hate it in the middle of the room taking up so much space! Gonna have to make a decision... If I could get on it earlier, I could try to read while walking... we'll see...

So there you have it. All you've missed. I have to tell you, now that I have it down I feel so much better! I actually hadn't added up the calories for the days until now... and I thought it was much worse. I would like to keep it under 2000 for now... OK, that's done and now I can move forward. Recording my eating daily here. I have been trying to go to bed at night, so I'm not sure if I'll be doing it nightly or in the mornings... but I'll be doing it!

And now that I have a camera that works, expect lots of pictures lol :)

I hope everyone is having a great new year! Even though I have a lot to improve on... I feel good about what's to come :)

* Was going to link to the recipe, but I am having trouble with Skippy's blog :(
So here it is, I'm sure she doesn't mind!!! Right skippy??? :)

As seen on Skippymom's Blog:

3 3/4 cups egg noodles [half a bag]
1 can cream of mushroom soup [low fat/50% less sodium]
1 can [5 oz] chunk light tuna in water
1/2 can of milk
2/3 cup of frozen peas
1/2 cup mild shredded cheddar
pepper to taste [1/4 tsp? about]

Boil the noodles. Drain. Drain tuna. Mix the noodles with the rest of the ingredients, except the cheese. Pour into a casserole dish. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes until heated through and cheese melts. Notice I left the cheese off a part of it because I don't like the cheese on mine - besides it just adds to my sodium levels.
Here is the coolest thing tho' -
For six servings - Each serving contains only 250 calories

Friday Weigh In, Turkey Burgers, and Cat Trouble

OMGoodness. This turned into a long and rambling post lol. Feel free to just skim it!

And the scale says...
279.2
That is a gain of 1.2 pounds.
Making my Total Weight Lost: 40.8 pounds

Treadmill Totals for the week:
2 hours 15 minutes and
5.26 miles :)

If it weren't for the treadmill (and being sick yesterday) I'm sure the gain would have been more, with the way I was eating last week. I think 5 miles is a good number to shoot for each week, and I will do my best!

As far as food, I feel much better, but I now want to snack all day! I don't know why, I just feel hungry all day, and even when I'm not- I want to snack anyway!!! Ugh. I think I did ok with it today, I gave in to the snacking- but only had a little bit...

I had a VERY busy day. In the midst of all this chaos, I realized how far I've come when my brother brought me to the store.
A GREAT REALIZATION:
As you know, my car isn't running (and now there is no more talk from ray's Mom about her guy... I have no idea why) and so when my brother brought me grocery shopping, I stocked up! So I got more than usual, trying to cover everything we will need for a while, since I'm not sure when I'll be going again. After I was all done shopping, and putting it all on the belt myself, putting it all back in the cart myself, I felt great! I wasn't tired, I wasn't sweating. I was just fine. It reminded me of a post I did when I first started this, probably in March or late Feb? I remember telling you how I felt bad because after Ray worked all night, he had to come to the store with me. I had recently gotten to the point where I couldn't go grocery shopping by myself if I was getting more than a few things. I was so tired and out of breath that I couldn't do the whole check out thing with out sweating like crazy...
but it's been a few months now, that I don't need any help (he helps me bring it all in when I get home) and today- even with extra stuff, I felt great :) It really reminds my why I am doing this. And that I have come a long way already, and I have to keep going!

Here's what I ate today:
Coffee: 46
Lunch: 404
Turkey sandwich (on whole wheat, with 1 slice pepper jack cheese, lettuce and miracle whip), 6 baby carrots, 1/2 tbs light ranch, water
Snack: 63
5 sunchips
Snack: 148
6 tortilla chips and 1 tbs salsa con queso
Dinner: 770
Turkey Burger (on white bun, slice of pepper jack, lettuce, tiny bit bbq sauce) baked beans, 9 sunchips, 1 cup ff skim milk
Snack: 460
3 doughnut holes, 1 cup apple cider
Total Water: 41 oz
Total Calories: 1891
Wow... and I thought I did pretty good today! I can't believe those tiny doughnut holes are 110 calories EACH!!! And dinner really added up faster than I thought! That's more calories than I thought I had...

TURKEY BURGERS:
It was out first time having turkey burgers. I have to say... I'm not impressed.
I got Jennie-O Lean turkey burger patties 'with no artificial ingredients.' They tasted ok, we seasoned them with ranch seasoning... I definitely I like regular burgers better. The whole reason I got them is because they are supposed to be so much more healthy. But my extra lean ground beef has LESS calories than this! I am pretty surprised! Where my beef is 96% fat free, this is 93%.

I'm looking at the 2 packages right now, and here's the breakdown on a quarter pound of the beef and the turkey...
The turkey has 20 MORE calories, 3.5 grams MORE fat, 1 gram MORE saturated fat, 15 mg MORE cholesterol, 40 mg MORE sodium, 4 grams LESS protein, and 9% LESS Iron... Also, the beef has that little 'heart check' symbol, and is certified by the 'National Heart Association.'
The only good thing I see is that the turkey has 2% Vitamin A and 2% calcium... I need my iron more than those I think...
Maybe I got the wrong thing? I thought that the patties would be the same as if they weren't in patties. (I only got patties cause they were on sale) but maybe they aren't?
I don't know. Do you eat turkey burgers? If so, why?
I have some left, so I would love to know how you eat them! What you season them with and what you use on them... Please! :)

Treadmill: 11 minutes/ .43 mile, Incline 1, with 2 lb weights for 5 minutes
I have a treadmill story. It's the reason I was on it such a short time, and it's NOT a good story. You may leave now if you want, lol.
CAT TROUBLE
I'm on the treadmill and notice my cat is acting weird. I'm watching her and she starts pawing over in the corner by the PS3. Then she paws at the rug in front of the door... "Miya!" I say. She stops and runs off. She comes back and goes about 4 feet away from where I'm walking, and is just staring... What is she looking at? I wonder. As I watch her, I realize she is not just standing there, she is going to the bathroom!!! 4 feet away from me, in plain sight!! I was fricken SHOCKED! So I yell at her, like she's going to answer me, "Miya!!! What are you DOING!?!?!?" I get off the treadmill, grab her by the scruff and go towards the basement. The litter is down there, and I throw her down the stairs! ...
No I didn't, but I was so mad I honestly thought about it! I can't do that though, so I set her down and she runs down in fear. So I get to clean up a HUGE steamy pile of shit on my living room carpet. She must have been holding that for 2 days!!!! WTF!?!?! UGH, I was so mad.

So I didn't get back on the treadmill, but I DID get a work out.

Earlier in the day Ray had told me that he had  a couple fleas on his legs in the basement. UGH. So far we haven't been bothered, and haven't seen them in the house. Just on the cats, and know they still have them because of the scratching. But since the litter is down there, and they go to bed down there at night, it must have gotten worse in the last couple days. So before she did her business on the carpet, I had already bought some spray and the neck stuff for them while at the store. After I calmed down, I realized she must have only done that, because there ARE fleas in the basement, and they must be bothering her so bad that she didn't want to go down there. Poor thing :(
So I chased them all down, sprayed them all REAL good with this stuff, chased them all down again to dry them off, and brushed the 3 that I could after that. I was sweating like crazy! Miya was actually really good, I think she was still scared of me and how mad I was. After a minute of rubbing the stuff on her, I told her "It's ok." and she started purring. I know it's because she knew I forgave her, because cats DON'T pure while getting flea treated, trust me lol. But it's all done, and tomorrow morning I will put on the other stuff, that is supposed to last 1 month (WE'LL SEE). And once we get that stuff on them, we are going to flea bomb the basement. Fun Fun I tell ya.
SO keep your fingers crossed for us and the kitties!!! Nothing has worked so far, This HAS to work. I'm SICK of this crap. And I can't stand to see them miserable either of course. They are indoors, I shouldn't even have to deal with this!!! Grrr!

K, I guess I better go now lol. It's way past my bedtime, and I'm not tired, and am HUNGRY. I want chips and salsa con queso, but I think I'll have a small bowl of cereal :)
Goodnight!

I am FREEZING!

BRRRRR!
It's 35 degrees right now, and I'm cold. I feel bad my son has to walk to school in it. Really bad :(
Yesterday was kind of a crap day. Just one of those days I guess. I just feel like... why does everything go wrong ALL the time? I mean, I can see the phone getting fried in some freak electrical thing that didn't effect anything else lol. I can see having the dryer not working and having to go to the laundromat. I can see the car breaking down... but ALL OF IT AT THE SAME TIME? Why? AND after I just fixed the damn car, spending ALL the money we had saved? I don't know, I'm just tired of it, you know?

Also, When the car was out of service a couple weeks ago, no one in my family called once to see if I needed anything. Now that I have been without it again, for a week? Nothing. Do they think I just pull groceries out of my a**?
Ray's Mom has been nice and asking if we need anything, but she works, runs her other kids around, and lives across town. My Mom doesn't, and doesn't, and lives 7 minutes away. Whatever. I had to ask her to bring my son to school for camp and pick him up, which she did. Now today I have to do laundry, I asked my brother if he could bring me to the laundromat, to dry my clothes. He said yes, but I can tell he isn't happy about having to get up before noon (at 11:30am). Whatever. My Mom said she'd come get us later for my sons doc appointment, I'll ask her if she can run me to the store after. I'm sure she'll be fine with that.
It just sucks. I hate having to depend on others. And winter will be here before you know it, I hate my son having to walk to school. I hope we can get the car running soon, but it doesn't really look good. Ugh.

Here's what I ate Yesterday:
Lunch: 630
1 Chicken Wrap, 1/2 cup black beans and rice, water
Snack: 130
Fiber Plus Bar
Dinner: 504
1 cup tuna helper, 1 slice whole wheat toast (plain), 3/4 cup Veggies (fiesta mix, frozen) 1 cup ff skim milk
Snack: 136
Apple slices (80 grams) 1 tbs peanut butter
Total Water: 33 oz
Total Calories: 1510
Not to bad. I didn't really care for the peanut butter with the apple. But hey, now I know :) Got in some fruits and veggies, so that's good. Not as much water as I would like. I try for at least 40 oz. The more the better.

I'm off to wash about 6 loads of laundry to take to dry. Yuck. The plan is for my brother to come hang out here with Ray, while I use his car and go to the laundromat. What fun.
At least I'll be warmer once I get at it huh? Bleh.

Let's end on a good note: At least it's not raining!!!! :)
And with all this laundry, I'll definitely be getting in exercise today! (laundry is upstairs, washer is in the basement. Up and down 2 flights of stairs all morning for me!)
Oh! I went to bed last night at 10:30!!!!! CRAZY!!! :)

I hope you all have a good day :)

Worrying is Like... A Rocking Chair?

Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere.
-Glenn Turner

I've been feeling pretty good the last couple days. I am really just trying to appreciate what I have and take everything day by day.

My cousin K had a visit from the prosecutor. Pictures were taken of where her daughter found the pills. K said she is being charged with child abuse/neglect. That was 2 days ago, and the kids are still there... so I don't know what's going to happen. CPS still has to make their surprise visit also... I'm trying not to think about it. It may sound bad, but I really just can't handle the stress of it all. Me worrying about it was REALLY getting to me, I just have to let go and hope that whatever is supposed to happen, happens. As much as I love my cousin, whatever's best for the girls is what's important.

My eating was a disaster yesterday. Well, just dinner and after I guess. I had chips and cheese deluxe and a wet tostada for dinner. The rest of the day consisted 1 Iced coffee, Migas for lunch. Snacks were 2 oatmeal creme pies (170 cal each), Special K bar, and 2 bowls of cereal. I didn't drink enough water, probably only 20 oz. I woke up feeling like Sh*t!!! My whole body hurt. I didn't STUFF myself, but just the unhealthy choices and not enough water really made my body feel horrible. I wonder if I used to feel like this every morning?!?!?!?! I didn't think so, but that's how I used to eat everyday, so I probably did!!!! I can't imagine getting up everyday feeling like that....

I did get on the treadmill for 20 minutes/ .78 mile :) 5 minutes with 2 lb weights

Today's eating was better:
Breakfast: 165
Coffee and a Mocha Special K bar
Lunch: 434
Tuna sandwich on whole wheat with 1 slice of pepper jack cheese and hot pepper rings, 1 whole carrot 62 grams, 1 tbs light ranch, Water
Snack: 23
Werther's Candy
Dinner: 495
1 1/2 cups of 3 cheese chicken Voila (frozen meal with broccoli, carrots, corn, pasta, chicken), 1 slice buttered toast, 1 cup ff skim milk
Snack: 245
about 1 1/2 cup frosted puffed wheat cereal with ff skim milk
Total Water: about 30 oz
Total Calories: 1362
Have you ever had Voila? I love it, I've only tried the chicken kind, and the cheese one is the best tasting I think. I was wondering if it would be less calories if I made it myself... like mixed my own veggies chicken, pasta and found some kind of cheese sauce or flavoring... maybe even leave out the pasta. What would I use for cheese flavoring? Any ideas???
I bought regular carrots instead of baby ones. I really don't taste a difference... I think I like the baby ones better. I'll finish this bag and decide :)

Treadmill for today:
13 minutes/ .50 mile
The last 2 days I did it in the morning and it felt SO good. Mostly because it was out of the way lol. Tonight it was just a rush to get it over with and wishing I would have done it earlier! But I did it and that's what matters to me. Definitely have to do it in the mornings though, I like that SOO much better...
I have to admit, I was genuinely AFRAID to take a break from the treadmill. I thought that once I took a day off I wouldn't get back on it! (That's what happened back in April, I got heat stroke and couldn't do it, and never got back into the habit of doing everyday- until now!) But I took 2 days off, and I'm right back on it. I know I'll still get on it everyday. Once in a while I might take a day off, but it won't hurt me, and it will still be habit! I feel pretty good about it :)

I also got extra walking in today. I walked to get my mail (I usually just get it when I'm already out in the car going somewhere) it's about 200 feet away I would guess. I'm going to try and make that a habit too.
More walking in the store, my son and I went shopping in a store I'm not really used to so it was a lot of looking around lol. He spent most of his birthday Money. (he got a bday card/money from my grandmother, I'm pretty suprised, but we'll go into that another time)
We also got just about everything he needs for camp :) Now that that cookie dough is all sold, that part of the stress is over, and he has just about everything he needs :) Now it's counting down the days till he goes, which is SIX. (and then counting the hours until he gets back!!!)

Tomorrow is weigh in, and I should be afraid with how I have been eating and not drinking enough water. But my ring says I lost... My engagement ring is my new weight gauge, and it seems to work pretty well lol. It is VERY loose. Not falling off on it's own yet, but definitely loose! I haven't stepped on the scale at all this week... so I'm really hoping for a loss. Wish me Luck! (it has been good lately, I hope it is tomorrow!)

Have a great night everyone!

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Good Morning!

I'm back just to finish up my Friday :)

What I ate:
Iced Coffee (91) with french vanilla liquid creamer, 1 tsp sugar
Lunch: (399) Tuna Sandwich, 5 baby carrots, 1 tbs light ranch, water
Snack: (435) 2 1/2 large crackers with 1/2 cup crab salad
Dinner: (676) 2 cups Taco soup with 12 tortilla chips and 1/4 cup cheddar, 1 cup ff skim milk
Snack: (250) 1 cup milk 1 Oatmeal Creme pie
Total Water: 42 oz
Total Calories: 1852

Wow, some of that stuff is more calories than I thought! I kept it under 2000 and I'm always happy with that. I could have done better especially with dinner, I took a good 213 dinner and turned it into 676 by adding the chips and cheese, and having a second cup...

I finally remembered to look for liquid creamer at Aldi's! I found some fat free french vanilla, and it is pretty good! Thanks Colenic! (if I remember right, you told me to go there for it... If not- Thanks who ever did!!! lol) I have been having it hot a lot lately, really like the coffeemate. But for iced I like this better. Still have to tweak it a little, it's sweet and I don't think I need the extra sugar. So today's will be less calories :)

I got on the treadmill as soon as I posted last night.
15 minutes/ .58 mile
39 days in a row
I just did the .58 I have to do to increase the weekly total, but to be honest I have to start doing more than that. The last few days, I haven't really even been sweating!!!! That is good news :) BUT it also means I have to start working harder now that I am able.... yuck! Haha, I know... I won't get the results if I don't put in the work!!!!

Woke up and I still have a head ache, but it's a LOT better. I feel great, and I'm going to have a great day :) I didn't do the laundry yesterday, so I have to today. I won't even let that get me down. I hope you all have a great day too!!!!

My ring sure is loose...

First let me thank my newest follower, knote. Thank you so much for joining me in My Day! If you have a blog, feel free to leave me a comment- I would love to check it out. (I don't know if it's just me? But I can't find any one's blog by their name... only if I click on it in a 'comments' section...) Either way, I am so happy to have you! :)
I noticed last night how loose my engagement ring is, it has to be the loosest it's EVER been! I even took it off and made Ray put it back on me, (He remembers having to FORCE it on there when he first popped the question) and he said "Dang!" Which I know means, "Wow Tina, it went on so easily! I'm so proud of you!" Hehe :)
SO I am expecting a loss tomorrow. I will be happy with ANY loss of course, and if it's a gain??? I guess I will be ok with that, because the first half of this week was pretty bad... and I didn't make the best decisions today... but I think it will be a loss :)

Today was pretty stressful, but I didn't let it send me to the fridge. My car is giving me trouble, which is the LAST thing I need right now, the mechanic couldn't get me in today, so I couldn't make my sons doc appointment, he needs 2 shots for school... I could go on... but I won't :) It's all ok, I am going back to the mechanic tomorrow and hoping for the best. I can get my son into the health clinic for the shots, which is much closer to home anyway! So send my car good vibes and hope it isn't expensive please!!!!!!! :)

What I ate today:
Drink: (84) Coffee with 2 tsp hazelnut coffee mate, 1 1/2 tsp sugar
Lunch: (600?) chips and cheese (about 11 with taco meat, sour cream and tomatoes) 1 taco, Water
Dinner: (310) 1 pizza bun (1/2 hamburger bun, mozz, 3 pepperonis, pizza sauce) romaine spinach salad (with 3 grape tomatoes, 1 1/2 tbs light ranch, croutons, hot pepper rings) Water
Snack: (200) Bowl of frosted wheat puffs with ff skim milk
Total Water: 46 oz
Total Calories: 1184
Not the best choices for lunch. I tried to eat light the rest of the day though.
The last 2 days I havn't had my coffee iced, It's warm... and it's pretty good lol. I'm going to use a little less sugar too, if I can :)
PIZZA BUNS! :)
A while back Mama Page, over at My Life~My Journey, had a picture on a post of her pizza buns. This reminded me of how my Dad used to make something similar when we were little. I hadn't ever made them, but thought- that would be a great way to hold off pizza cravings! Well, I forgot all about it until the other day. We had to use up the rest of these buns... so I made pizza buns :) They come out to about 152 calories each. They came out very good, and only had ONE! I am proud of that lol. I wasn't craving pizza either though... so that will be the real test. I could even buy whole wheat buns to make it a little healthier...

Treadmill Today: 20 minutes/ .80 mile
Total Days in a Row: 17
Today we didn't have the air on, because it was beautiful out. But it made me sweat more on the treadmill tonight lol. That along with just eating made it an uncomfortable walk, but so glad I did it. It wasn't even a question- I knew I had too :) Once my son starts school, I'll try to get it done in the morning instead of at night.

See you tomorrow for the weigh in! I expect a loss, wish me luck!

Weigh Day

And the scale says...
you'll never know, because now it sleeps with the fishes so it can't tell you...
OK... I didn't really hurt the scale, even though I wanted to... Here it is:
280
That's a 1.2 pound gain
So right at 40 pounds lost Total.
Got on the treadmill EVERY DAY :)
Making my Week Totals:
1 hour 4 minutes/ 4 miles
(that Total is going to go UP every week!)

Eeeeek!
I never wanted to see that 280 again! But we all know my eating was pretty bad this week. After yesterday I should be glad I didn't gain more I guess.
I feel ok though, I know I'll loose it this week :)

My back seems like it gets worse every day. It doesn't hurt at all on the treadmill, so I am not going to stop doing that. I think it's a pinched nerve or something... sometimes it's one spot, and others it's a large area. Ray was rubbing it today, and I made him quit because it was hurting my neck!? Weird.
So I didn't do the laundry... I know Ray would have carried it up and down the 2 sets of stairs... but I didn't want him to have to. And I didn't want to risk hurting myself more at the laundromat. Wet laundry is heavy lol. Hopefully it will be better Monday, because I'll be doing laundry for sure then!

What I ate Today:
Lunch: (483) Tuna sandwich w 1/8 cup cheddar, 1 tbs mw, hot pepper rings on whole wheat. 5 baby carrots, 1 tbs light ranch, 9 sunchips, water
Drink: (84) about 8 oz iced coffee with 2 tsp hazelnut coffee mate, 1 1/2 tsp sugar, 3 ice cubes :)
Snack: (23) 1 Werther's
Dinner: (1510) Papa John's- 1 1/2 slice 'Workin Fire' (pepperoni, jalapenos, sausage) 1 1/2 slice pepperoni, 4 small cheese sticks, pizza sauce, 3/4 garlic sauce, Water
Snack: (90) Yoplait Delights Chocolate raspberry parfait (yuck)
Snack: (200) Frosted Wheat Puffs w ff skim milk
Total Water: 37 oz
Total Calories: 2390
WAY to many calories. I had 2 slices of pizza, then got one more of each... but I got full and decided to stop eating. I put half of each slice back. I was proud of myself. i know I don't NEED 3 slices, but it's better than last times 5... the calories where still horrible, man those tiny cheese sticks add up!!! And the sauces! I'm sure I'll have left overs for lunch tomorrow, but I'll do a good job :)
My iced coffee came out good today :) mixed in the creamer and sugar, put it in the fridge for an hour and poured it over ice. It could have used more sugar, but I didn't want to add the calories. It was pretty good. Still plan on getting the liquid creamer, but Ray got a ride home and I slept in and ended up not going ANYWHERE today. It was 90, so I had a lazy day in the central air :)
I tried on of those Yoplait Delights like you see on tv, with the layer of raspberry over the chocolate. YUCK. They look really good and only 100 calories, (gave my son a bite, he is going to put one in the freezer for himself) but I don't like it at all.

Treadmill: 20 minutes/ .71 mile
Been on it 11 days in a row
I won't say it's habit yet, but it does feel like it. I'm back to just KNOWING I have to get on it, not thinking about whether I want to or not.

I know I didn't really start this week out well with the pizza, but I do feel good. I really thought about what I wanted to eat all day. I know this week is going to be better!

Yucky!!!

Well, today my iced coffee experimenting didn't go as well. Yesterday I liked it, just knew I had to tweak it a little... but today it was Yuck. Yesterday Morning I made it, and added the creamer and put it in the fridge for a while. It was cold, but not ice cold how I want it, but after I added a little milk and sugar it tasted pretty good. WELL I figured I would make me a cup last night, add the creamer and let it sit in the fridge over night. It didn't come out so good... I think having the creamer sit over night ruined it??? I added more sugar, and even some chocolate, it helped but it still wasn't very good. Kind of chalky. I think I am going to have to find some of that liquid creamer... Is it in the coffee isle? Or is it refrigerated? I'm guessing the syrup form the dollar store isn't refrigerated... I don't drink coffee, just my already made iced coffee in a bottle lol. And maybe about 5 cups of coffee over the rest of my life... You HAVE to add boiling water to the instant coffee first so it will dissolve right??? I mean, you can't just start out with cold water... right?
My plan is to eventually have it how I want it, make the instant coffee and put it in a picture in the fridge, and just have it over ice whenever I want... but I guess this powder creamer doesn't work that way lol...

We went and practiced with the bike some more. He is doing very well, I'm so proud of him. I know it's 10 times harder than it was for me (or any other little kid) because he didn't get to practice with training wheels, he isn't even used to the pedaling motion or steering! So he has to learn all of this at the same time. His legs are a little bruised and scratched, but he is doing very well. We are taking a break from it tomorrow, maybe we will go to the lake...

After bike lessons we went to his favorite restaurant, a Chinese buffet (a different one then me and Ray's favorite lol). I did really good, these where the smallest plates I have ever had!

Here's what I ate today:
Snack 4 and 5am: (380) 2 bowls of cereal (frosted wheat puffs and Special K vanilla almond) w ff skim milk
Lunch: Buffet- (1000?) 2 small plates. Plate One: 1 serving of parmesan chicken, 4 little pieces of sweet and sour chicken, 2 crab rangoon, 1 egg role and room on the plate for a BOWL with sweet and sour sauce! Plate 2: 2 or 3 bites of each- jalapeno chicken, broccoli chicken, baked chicken, white rice. About 6 bites of hawaiian chicken. 20 oz WATER. Dessert: 1 bite of banana pudding (i thought it was vanilla when I got it!). about 3 bites of chocolate pudding, and 2 bites of ice cream (I didn't really like it, usually I would have ate it all anyway though lol. NOT today) and 1 tiny cake... thing.
Snack: (245) My mess of an iced coffee, fiber plus bar
Dinner Late: (438) Romain salad with 1 tbs light ranch, 1/4 cup cheddar, 10 popcorn chicken. 10 tater tots. Water
Snack: (35) 1 bite of mint ice cream
Total Water: 72 oz
Total Calories: 2098 ?(1103 + Lunch)
I don't know how many calories I had for lunch... I am tired and not going to try and figure it out right now. I am happy with how I did, but I know that dessert was probably a lot, so I'll round it to an even 1000. I kind of think it was less... but we'll go with that.
I should not have had all that for dinner though! I was just going to have a salad, I wasn't that hungry, but it smelled so good and I gave in. Definite NO NO.
A little bit ago I REALLY wanted some ice cream... no I'm not hungry, just wanted something sweet. I finally gave in and had ONE bite. I'm good with that :)

Treadmill: 15 minutes/ .57 miles  3 minutes with 2 LB weights. My back started pinching and I had to put the weights down :(  It has been a dull ache all day, but since the treadmill it hurts :(
On the Treadmill 9 Days in a row :)

Iced Coffee, Bike Riding Lessons and a Back Ache

My back hurts :(

Today was a good day over all. Stressful, hard, but good.

Today Ray and I took our son to ride his bike. Well, to teach him to ride it. I know, him not knowing how is a HUGE FAIL on our parts. I feel horrible about it. He just never wanted to have anything to do with it... I would watch my Mom's sister FORCE her son to do it and he hated it sooo bad... and maybe that's part of the reason mine didn't want anything to do with it??? Well, I should have forced him anyway I guess.
I wanted him to, and would try over the years but he just DID NOT WANT TO. Ray did not help me and made it seem like I should leave him alone... and finally I did. Ray also made it seem like it wasn't a big deal, because HE never learned how to ride a bike. But it is a big deal to me. I really liked riding my bike when I was little, and I think my son would too! I am so mad at myself for not making him sooner... but I figure it's better late than never?
SO I kind of made Ray back me up on this, and today was our first lessons. We went out to this huge church parking lot where we wouldn't be bothered (and he wouldn't be embarrassed) and did our best.
You remember teaching your child to ride his/her bike? Well, imagine trying to teach an 11 year old boy, who is almost as tall as you, and to heavy for training wheels... it is not easy. It was VERY stressful, but after about 2 hours, I think we made some progress.

On our way home we stopped at my brothers and had Jeff raise the handle bars (we did the seat fine, but needed a larger wrench for this) so that should help some for tomorrows lessons.
We did not go in at all, just stayed outside. Everyone came out and said hi, and knew we weren't staying. Mom showed us the little fish... pond/bowl she has in the yard now. Cute. I'm guessing Mom told them we are not coming over anymore... but maybe she didn't. They all acted fine though, no one is mad at me that I can tell, so that's good.

Ever since we left there, I have had this pain in my back. It started out as a small circle of pain, and has now spread to a large part of my back. It hurts most when I'm sitting, like right now. I must have pulled something... I'm hoping it heals on it's own and all will be fine. Having back problems is the last thing I need right now.

Here's what I ate today:
Breakfast: (214) Cold Coffee(with 2 tsp hazelnut creamer, 1/4 cup milk, 1/4 tsp sugar) and a Fiber Plus bar
Lunch: NOTHING, off with bike lessons lol
Snack: (300) 1 cup of Heavenly Hash ice cream
Dinner: (714) Left over Taco Soup over tortilla chips and cheddar, water
Snack: (24) about 1/3 of a pear (53 grams)
Snack: (190) bowl of frosted wheat puffs with 1 cup ff skim milk
Total Water: 47 oz
Total Calories: 1442
I think I did OK. I could have skipped the chips and cheese at dinner, but I'm not mad at myself.
I took Tessa's advise and tried some home made Cold coffee! I got instant coffee, and a Hazelnut creamer. (I forgot about the suggestion of liquid syrup, and got powdered coffee mate. I WILL be checking the dollar store thanks to Colenic!) It was pretty good... It wasn't quite cold enough so not really 'iced' lol. Once I get it how I like it, I'll make a whole pitcher for the fridge, and it will be perfect. To the 1 cup of coffee and creamer, I added 1/4 cup milk and 1/4 tsp of sugar... I'm guessing the kind I'm used to is mostly milk and sugar LOL. It ended up to be 54 calories, A LOT better than 200! I'll keep working on it, till I get it how I want it... well, close to how I want it :) As close as I can get while keeping it far away from 200 calories hehe :)

Treadmill: 16 minutes/ .61 miles (5 minutes with 2 LB weights)
8 days in a row on it :)
My back felt fine the whole time, so that's good.

I know I need to get my food under control, I think I did better today. I'm hoping that if I do well for the rest of the week, and keep up on the treadmill, that the scale will be good to me :)

Is That Sandwich For Real!?!?

Ok, confessions first lol.
I knew Ray was going to try KFC's "Double Down" today. I didn't really want anything to do with it, have you seen this thing? When Ray told me about it I thought he was joking!!! It's a sandwich... I guess... So we get there and he tells me it's only $1.00, and I HAD to try one. SO I did. I thought of Tessa when I got it home, I know she thinks I eat to much bread (and she's absolutely right!) So check this out:
LOL! Yes it is exactly what it looks like... a sandwich with 2 pieces of chicken for the bun, and 2 slices of cheese and a strip of bacon. Some kind of orange sauce also.  It was NOT a dollar either. It was $4.99!!! I am not going to lie, it was VERY good. (I sat down with a fork and enjoyed it, I didn't eat it like a sandwich lol) BUT, it was NOT worth 4.99, not at all. It tasted good, but at 540 calories was not worth the guilt. AND I was hungry 10 minutes after I ate the thing! It's not as big as it looks. Definitely a first and last for me.
All I can say in my defense is... at least there's not bread??? LOL, I know that's a sad attempt to make it better. I can say that I resisted the urge to order their mashed potatoes and gravy, which I LOVE. I am proud of myself for that.
K, confession time out of the way.

Here's My Day:
Breakfast: (130) Fiber Plus Bar- dark chocolate almond, water
Lunch: (615) heart attack sandwich... err.. I mean... KCF Double Down, romaine salad with 1 tbs light tomato dressing and 1/8 cup cheddar, water
Snack: (123) 1 yoplait yogurt- apple turnover with 1/8 cup kashi go lean
Dinner: (680) 1 stuffed chicken- asparagus, 1 cup broccoli cheese rice (from pkg), 1 cup FF skim milk
Snack: (400) 1 piece of chocolate cake, 1 ice cream cup, 1/2 cup FF skim milk
Snack: (320) 1 1/2 cup Apple Cinomon Cheerios with 1 cup FF skim milk
Total Water: 44 oz
Total Calories: 2268
I bought these little single serving sundae cups of ice cream. In chocolate and strawberry. Each one 100 calories so that's cool :) It will help me not over do it with ice cream.

Tonight was Tuesday, The Biggest Looser was on. As you may know, I go for my long walk every Tuesday while watching it. Today I walked for 90 minutes non stop! Wooo hooo! 90 minutes was kind of a goal of mine... and now I've reached it. I have proved to myself that I can do it, I have built up endurance that I didn't have before. I could have NEVER stayed on it for 90 minutes before 2010.
Treadmill: 90 minutes/ 3.17 miles   Wooo hooo!
Now that I have reached my time goal, I am going to start concentrating on distance for my Biggest Loser walks. That is a long time, and I don't want to end up dreading it by making it any longer!! I'll try to go a little farther each week, and if I don't want to be on it 90 minutes, I guess I better speed it up!

I don't know if anyone has checked out the animal cams at all, but the red tailed hawk's chicks hatched this morning, 2 of them. There is still an egg left. Since there is no night vision on that one, I'll have to wait till the morning to see if it hatched. Exciting stuff! Well...for us at least :-) And no, this new addiction is NOT helping with my schedule AT ALL...

Friday, WEIGH DAY

And the scale says...
That is a loss of 1.2 pounds for the week...30.6 total!
Know what else?
I am out of the 290s! FOREVER!!! Woo Hoo!!!
My Totals for the week are:
Treadmill: 3 hours 48 minutes/ 8.04 miles (new week distance record)
Crunches: 400
Of course I am very happy right now, but his was actually the 3rd week in a row I was afraid I might gain. I'm tired of worrying about that!
I guess all my walking paid off :) Now I just have to keep my eating under control and I'll loose even more! Yeah! No more worrying about gaining for me! I'm back on the wagon! lol. I've lost 30 pounds, it's a big number. And 40 is an even BIGGER number. 40 pounds here I come!

Here's My Day:
Breakfast: (415) leftover tuna helper and one slice of whole wheat toast w 1/3 tbs country crock, 1 cup FF skim milk
Snack: (280) about 1 1/2 cups Honey Smacks with 1 cup FF skim milk
Lunch: Nothing (was napping, didn't sleep well last night)
Snack: (90) Quaker low fat oatmeal raisin granola bar
Dinner: (551) 1 1/4 cup Chicken Stir fry (used frozen stir fry veggies- red, green, yellow peppers and onions. kikkoman stir fry sauce) with 1 cup brown rice. 1 cup FF skim milk
Snack: (50) a couple more bites of dinner as I put it away
Snack: (280) 1 1/2 cups of Honey Smacks with 1 cup ff skim milk
Drink: (200) Beaumont Iced coffee- french vanilla
Total Water: 20 oz (not enough, I know)
Total Calories: 1866

Went and got my son's hair cut today. Literally right next door is a Little Caesars. It's a dreary windy day, felt pretty blah, and thought of how easy it would be to "pick up a large pizza, bread sticks and sauce for only 7.99..." (yeah, exact words of the sign lol) BUT I didn't do it! I thought of how happy I am to have lost over 30 pounds, AND how I would have to write and tell you all what I had done LOL. So I didn't give in!
I came home and made dinner, and it was pretty good if I do say so myself! In fact, my son even liked it! (It's a little hard to get him to eat many veggies that aren't from a can) I got seconds that I really didn't need, but still less calories then if I would have had the pizza!
I have to say I'm not in love with the brown rice, it's my first time making it... I'll go through this bag before I give up on it though :) I'll compare it with white rice, and the health benefits will probably win me over. I don't have any white rice now so I'm not sure what differences there are, but I'll check it out.

Treadmill: 22 minutes/.77 mile  5 minutes w 2LB weights
I think I know why it's been so hard to get on the treadmill. I have to FORCE myself every night lately. I think it's because I have been waiting to long! I'm tired and don't want to do it, I have to get back to doing it earlier in the evening while I'm watching something, don't know why I haven't been the last few days...

SUNDAY

I'm tired again today. I should be in bed right now, but my schedule is all messed up from spring break. I stay up way to late lately! Tomorrow is Monday and we'll be back into the swing of things (until summer break that is...)
My Honey Crisp Apple

Here's My Day:
Breakfast: (260) Bagel THIN with 1/3 less fat cream cheese, 1 cup FF skim milk
Lunch: (300?) 1 1/2 cup of Taco Soup (recipe here)1 flour tortilla, 1 cup FF skim milk
Snack: (150) 1/2 cup of ice cream- Kodiak Island Fudge
Drink: (80) 8 oz Brisk Lemon iced tea
Dinner: (440) 1/8 cup leftover cheese instant potatoes with gravy, 3 chicken strips, 1/4 cup peas, 1 cup FF skim milk
Snack: (150) 1/2 large Apple (above)
Snack: (180) Bagel Thin with 1/3 less fat cream cheese
Snack: (400) 2 cups of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios with 1 cup FF skim milk
Total Water: 41 oz
Total Calories: 1960
I could get used to the 1/3 less cream cheese. It's not to bad I guess. The Bagel THINS are another story though. I don't really like them. I think I would rather have half of a regular bagel then a whole 'THIN.' They don't taste the same. So when I get bagels again (not planning on it being soon lol) I am getting regular. Don't ask me why I had 2 today if I don't like them... because I really don't have an answer for that lol. I guess I just over snacked today. I was hungry all day. I did a lot of extra house work yesterday and today, maybe that's why I'm hungry... and hopefully will help get rid of those calories :)
I put a picture of my taco soup on the taco soup recipe page for you. I will try and do it from now on, if I post anymore recipes. I love to take pictures anyway! Sounds like a good idea to me :)
Treadmill: 28 minutes/1.02 miles 10 minutes of that with 2 LB weights
Crunches: 120 (3 sets of 40)
I was so relieved not to have gained weight on Friday that I haven't thought of the scale since. So I have NO idea where I stand for my weigh in for Tessa's challenge tomorrow. Don't have a clue what to expect. I'm hoping the housework will help me :) Wish me luck!
Crap. It's after Midnight!
I'll leave you with a picture of My Son's apple from yesterday :)

Saturday

Here's My Day:
Brunch: (400) 1 egg and 1 slice of 2% kraft cheese on a Bagel "thins" 1 cup 2% milk
Snack: (100) 6 oz cup of yoplait light yogurt
Snack: (15) 2 jelly beans
Dinner: (685) 5 chicken strips, 3/4 cup cheesy instant potatoes with gravy, 1/2 cup of peas, 1 cup FF skim milk
Snack: (150) 1/2 cup ice cream- country fresh Kodiak island fudge
Total Water: 16 oz
Total Calories: 1350 (plus the drink I'm having. just a little of the irish cream, but it's a lot of calories I'm sure...)
I found these "bagel THINS" today, I was so happy! They are 110 calories per whole bagel. I love bagels and cream cheese... but when I had the bagel today I wasn't impressed :(  When I try it with the cream cheese I'll let you know if it's good :)  I also bought 1/3 less fat cream cheese, I was going to go for the fat free, but it had all these extra unidentifiable ingredients, where the 1/3 less has the exact same as regular. I hope I like it!
Treadmill: 22 minutes/.77 mile   8 minutes of that with 2 LB weights
Gonna relax a little while and go to bed. I'm pretty tired. Being so stressed out latley really drains me I guess. I didn't want to do the treadmill at all, but I have to have a pretty good streak going for doing it everyday, and I didn't want to ruin that! I'll have to see how long its been tomorrow :)

More of my Monday...

My wonderful fiance's name is Ray :) I am sick of writing 'my fiance' every time. AND this seems more friendly then I ever would have thought, so you can know his name :) I guess I didn't want to use it because of the fear someone I knew would read this and know it was me! But I know now that if anyone I knew read this, they would probably know it was me anyway. Also, I guess the people that know me... well they might already have noticed that I'm fat LOL, so who cares if they came across this :) I'm still not telling anyone though!!! Besides  Ray :)
Ray's mom is doing fine today, thankfully! She is back to normal and went to work and feels good. She better not scare us like that again!!!  :)

I have to tell you what I did last night! I was doing my blog and my fiance was eating some sugary cereal. That sounded really good and I wrote it in and added the calories because I knew I would eat some when I got done. I was all done, got off the computer and thought about it... I wasn't even hungry. SO, instead of just eating it because it sounded good, and because I had already wrote it- I got back on the computer and erased it!!! AND the 290 calories!!! HAHA! Take that Cap'n Crunch!!!!

Here's My Day:
Brunch: (603) Chips N Eggs(my migas- 6 tortilla chips, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup cheese, salsa, pepper, tiny bit of veggie oil), 1 slice of whole wheat toast with 1/2 tbs FF ICBINB, 8 oz Orange Juice
Drink: (200) Beaumont Iced Coffee 9.5 oz- French Vanilla
Snack: (147) 6 oz Yoplait Light FF yogurt (apple turnover) with 1/4 cup of Kashi Crunch. Water
Dinner: (795) 1 soft chicken taco, some chicken and re fried beans on the side. Spinach and Ice burg salad. FF skim milk
Snack: (330) 1 1/2 cups of Honey Bunches of Oats Strawberries with cup FF skim milk
Total Water: 34 oz
Total Calories: 2075
The apple turnover flavor is MUCH better with the crunch :) I am having Honey Bunches of oats cereal for snack, even though ray is heating up pizza rolls....
Treadmill: 21 minutes/.78 mile
Crunches: 100 (5 sets of 20)

I came across this blog entry... I don't know if I have a sick sense of humor or what, but I thought it was hilarious LOL. I was sitting here laughing so I thought I'd share it with you. I showed Ray an it cracked him up too, but he has the same sense of humor as me lol. So if you are a little twisted like us, check it out :) http://peregrination.squarespace.com/journal/2010/3/20/are-you-a-kitten-killer.html

Weekend...almost....over...

It's Sunday, so tomorrow is weigh in for Tessa's Challenge. I have to be good today!!!
Today also starts my NO FAST FOOD for a week goal. I know I can do it :) My fiance heated up leftovers for lunch, and is smelled SOOO good. I didn't even want it though... well kind of... but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. There is still more left, but I know I can leave it alone :)

Here's My Day:
Breakfast: (200) Beaumont Iced coffee 9.5 oz- Mocha
Lunch: (388) Tuna Sandwich(1 can tuna, 1tbs miracle whip, 1/8 cup sharp cheddar, hot pepper rings on whole wheat toast) 5 baby carrots, 1 tbs light ranch. Water
Snack: (140) Fiber Plus Bar- Dark Chocolate Almond. Water. 1 slice of an apple (my sons)
Drink: (110) 8 oz of V8 Fusion
Dinner: (710) 2 chicken tacos(one hard shell one tortilla) with lettuce, cheese, salsa. about 1/2 cup of re fried beans, 1 1/2 cup of FF skim milk
Total Water: 50 oz
Total Calories: 1548

We had left over shells (and always have tortillas) from last taco night. If you remember, it was my total taco binge... oh the horror.... anyway lol. I have a lot of chicken I got on sale last week so I decided to boil it, shred it and make it with taco seasoning. It came out pretty good, but not as good as beef. Maybe that helped me control myself. That and the fact that I didn't want a repeat of the last taco night!!! ALSO, I used my pizza rule :) ONE taco on the plate. To have another I had to get up, prepare it and sit back down and eat it. After that I was actually full :)

Treadmill: 21 minutes/ .70 mile    5 min of that with 2 LB weights
Crunches: 110 (50, 15, 15, 15, 15)
Extra Exercise: 30 non-jumping jacks with 2 LB weights

We had a scare today.
I was going to have my mother in law(fiance's mom) over for some taco soup tonight. We got a call that she had called another of her sons to come get her from church because she wasn't feeling well. He knew it was bad if she was going to leave her car there, he went to get her. When he got there she was already in an ambulance, her speech was slurred and they were taking her to the hospital. We were so scared. I thought she had a heart attack.
She was only at the hospital for about 1/2 an hour and they sent her home. It was her diabetes! She hasn't been taking care of herself as well as she should be I guess, and her blood sugar was to high...
Thankfully she is fine now, she ate and was going to take a nap. She is just really tired so we'll make her dinner another day... I'm just so glad she is ok.
It makes me think though, I JUST mentioned Friday how I am afraid I might have diabetes or be getting close, and then this happens... it's the first time she has had problems really, NEVER had to go to the hospital before... My fiance is 29, and he was sitting here terrified he might loose his mother... If I don't stick with this, and make more changes to improve my health, my son will get a call just like that. Except it could be worse... and he will probably be younger then 29.
I have lost 27 pounds so far and am more determined then ever to stick with this and really change my life.

Saturday

Oh the weekend... once desired and now dreaded... LOL, ok so I'm feeling dramatic today :) Really though, the weekend is so much harder. I guess lack of schedule is most of it for me. BUT- now having to weigh in on Monday too, I am going to have to get control of these evil days! haha.
Yesterday it was like my cold magically disappeared... thankfully! But today it is back. I have a cough and stuffy nose, but I feel pretty good anyway :) Nothing a few cough drops can't handle... I hope lol.

Here's My Day:
Snack @2:30am: (190) 1 cup of MultiGrain Cheerios with 1 cup FF skim milk
Breakfast: (415) 2 eggs with 2 slices whole wheat toast w 1/2 tbs Fat Free ICBINB
Lunch: (282) 1/2 a Tuna sandwich on whole wheat, 10 carrots, 1 tbs light ranch
Snack: (147) 6 oz yoplait light- white chocolate strawberry yogurt with about 1/4 cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch mixed in
Dinner: (1550) Ordered Papa John's- 2 medium slices of BBQ chicken bacon pizza, 1 med slice pepperoni pizza, a garlic sauce, 4 small cheese sticks, a pizza sauce. Water
Snack: (50) One cookie (store brand Oreo)
Drink: (200) Beaumont iced coffee- french vanilla
Total Water: 74 oz
Total Calories: 2834
Well... I started the day off pretty good. For the first time I only had 1/2 a tuna sandwich :) I also bought some kashi go lean cereal to put in my yogurt. I wanted granola, and after looking at the different kinds I guess I grabbed the wrong one!!! This is "multi grain cluster cereal" and it will do the job, but I will get granola next time. I got this idea from Margie M's blog. I can't remember what exactly she uses in her yogurt, but I'm pretty sure it is granola of some kind.

I broke my own rule with the pizza!!! I try to just get one slice per plate, then I think I eat less (my usual is now 2 slices) but NO- I strayed from the plan!!! I told myself- "self, THIS is the ONLY plate you are aloud tonight." and put 2 slices on it and 3 cheese sticks. SO of course it's gone faster, and of course i want more, so I got another slice and another cheese stick. (it says 4 is a serving of sticks, but I did NOT need 4) Ugh... I am pretty sure if I would have followed my rule, i would have ended up eating 2 slices and 2 cheese sticks- which I would be happy with. Next time for sure!!! Eventually I will be able to do JUST ONE!!! Oh- and I didn't drink any pop with the pizza!!! :)

I got 3 cookies for snack, I didn't really like the first one, so I put the other 2 back :) I was proud of myself for that one. We usually don't have cookies in the house. I usually don't shop with my son either, he wanted them and I gave in... he is good about not eating a lot of them though. He is 11, but he still asks if he can have a snack, so I know exactly what he's eating and when. If I don't eat them, they will go stale. Which I will be fine with!!! No More eating stuff just so it doesn't go to waste!!!

I didn't get much sleep last night, my fiance had another early schedule. I was up to early and will be up to late. When my schedule is off it really messes with me. I wish I didn't over eat for dinner, but otherwise it was an ok day. Next time I will follow my rule!!!!

LATER
I have to be honest, while I was eating the pizza, it was good and I enjoyed it. Now it is later, and I feel pretty bad about it. I was thinking of the groceries I bought, and the healthy things I could have made... and feel kind of sick thinking about it. I'm thinking about that show I saw yesterday, how I was so moved by it. And here I am the next day eating pizza... it just doesn't make sense! Ughh...
I read Barbara's blog a little while ago, and she has someone who orders out and sabotages her also. Mine is my fiance. He doesn't do it to sabotage me on purpose... I think he is just as addicted to the food as I am. But I have to start saying No. I'll have to make dinner... and I guess if he really wants to order out anyway, he will have to eat it all himself.... The other day I made a goal to not eat at any buffets until Tessa's Challenge is over. I have a new shorter term goal- NO fast food next week. NONE. I told my fiance and he said that's fine. So NO FAST FOOD next week. Not for breakfast, lunch or dinner. NONE.
Oh, and Barbara did SUCH a great job today by the way!

Tomorrow is another day, and today wasn't a total loss, I just made a couple mistakes. Mistakes that I can avoid next time...

Whole Wheat Bread

Well... I bought some whole wheat bread yesterday. I've always heard it is so much better for you, and notice that on the blogs I read- that is what most people are eating. BUT... I don't like it. I will go through the loaf and hopefully get used to it.
I have a question: Is it really that much better for you??? I was holding the two loafs side by side in the grocery store, and the difference wasn't as drastic as I thought it would be... and the white bread seemed to have more nutrients... Did I get the wrong kind? Is there a certain kind any of you prefer? I bought Wonder Soft 100% Whole Wheat bread. 110 calories, 1.5 grams of fat... I picked it because it doesn't look to grainy like some I've had in the past. My son hates it LOL. I thought if I just made it and gave it to him he wouldn't notice. I guess he's to old for that trick because he sure did notice!!!! lol.

You'll see that I had a bagel this morning. I know that they are bad, but I saw them in the store and had to have them! lol. I do feel guilty now though, thinking "why buy whole wheat bread and turn around and eat a bagel???" Doesn't make much sense huh... But you know I am AGAINST depriving myself of things I love, so next time I am going to eat only HALF the bagel.

It's the weekend, which is always hard. My son has left for the night- so it's even harder!!! I have really been trying to watch what I eat in front of him (because I am making him eat more fruits and veggies, so I can't be eating junk in front of him! lol) so with him gone... it is going to be even worse then usual tonight!!!! I will try to keep my self under control. For the last 2 days I have been craving both sweets and salty stuff like chips. I usually don't CRAVE like this (except for tuna sandwiches lol) so that sucks. I'll have to try extra hard to get through today!

Here's My Day:
Breakfast: 1 Bagel with about 1 1/2 tbs cream cheese. about 8 oz of orange juice
Lunch: Spinach/Romain salad with about 1/4 cup of cheddar, 1 tbs light ranch, 10 croutons. A chimichanga and 5 tortilla chips with about 1/4 cup of cheddar and salsa. Water
Snack: about 1 cup of ice cream
Drink: about 8 oz of V8 Fusion- Acai Mixed Berry
Snack: 9 Lay's cheddar&sour cream chips
Dinner: Ordered Vitale's- 2 large slices of BBQ Chicken Pizza, 1 small slice, 2 bread sticks, about 2 tbs sauce, 1/2 can Mtn Dew
Total Water Today: 30 oz
UGH! Why did I eat all that?!?!?!? My stomach is definitely stretched back out some, because Even though I ate all that for dinner, I wasn't even stuffed- a couple weeks ago I would have been!!! BBQ chicken pizza from there used to be my favorite thing to order, but I honestly didn't even like it... yet I ate all that anyway... UGH!!!
